Alien Bases on the Moon
From supposed towers and hangars to claims of hidden installations on the lunar far side: a guide to the lunar-base theory, its origins and the images often cited in support.
Open case file ↗Independent field archive / research collection
A field archive of alleged alien presence on the Moon and other worlds, possible life in the Solar System, ancient-visitor claims and theories of extraterrestrials living among humanity.
This archive explores two overlapping questions: whether life might exist elsewhere in the Solar System, and why claims of hidden alien bases, ancient visitors or extraterrestrials living among us continue to circulate. The cases range from scientifically grounded astrobiology to cultural folklore and unsupported conspiracy theories.
Editorial rule: a real observation is not automatically proof of an extraordinary explanation. Each file distinguishes established facts, witness or image reports, hypotheses and speculation. No extraterrestrial life has yet been confirmed, and no credible public evidence establishes that aliens live secretly among humans.
How to read the archive
Documented: supported by primary records or repeatable observations. Scientific hypothesis: a testable possibility, not a confirmed discovery. Reported: a claim attributed to a person or source. Speculation: an interpretation not established by the available evidence.

Open case file ↗Why some claim the Moon is hollow or artificial, what Apollo seismic experiments actually measured, and how to separate a memorable phrase from a scientific result.
Open case file ↗The famous Apollo-era phrase, what the experiments were designed to measure, and why seismic ringing should not be mistaken for proof of a hollow spacecraft.
Open case file ↗The Viking image that appeared to show a monumental face, the higher-resolution images that followed, and how pareidolia shaped one of the best-known Martian mysteries.
Open case file ↗From “pyramids” and city grids to claims of a vanished Martian culture: what anomaly hunters see, what geology can produce, and what evidence would be needed to establish a civilisation.
Open case file ↗A large angular-looking feature on Mars’s moon Phobos has inspired claims of a marker, tower or artificial object. Here is what the image can and cannot tell us.
Open case file ↗One of the most scientifically credible places to search for life in our solar system—and why a potentially habitable ocean is not evidence of an alien civilisation.
Open case file ↗Cassini found water-rich plumes, salts and organic compounds at Enceladus. Could life exist there? The evidence makes it a serious scientific target, but not a confirmed inhabited world.
Open case file ↗Could microbial life survive high in Venus’s atmosphere? A controversial phosphine claim revived the debate, but no finding has established life in Venus’s clouds.
Open case file ↗Titan has lakes and seas of liquid methane and ethane, a thick atmosphere and complex organic chemistry. Some speculate about unfamiliar forms of life—but none has been detected.
Open case file ↗Mars once had rivers, lakes and potentially habitable environments. This is the strongest scientific question in the solar-system alien debate: could microbial life have emerged there, or survive underground today?
Open case file ↗Claims that ancient texts, monuments or unexplained lunar features record alien visits to the Moon are popular in alternative history. This file separates cultural stories from testable historical evidence.
Open case file ↗The idea that extraterrestrials walk among humans appears in UFO folklore, science fiction and conspiracy culture. Explore the main narratives—and what evidence would be needed to substantiate them.
Open case file ↗A prominent modern conspiracy theory claims reptilian beings disguise themselves as humans. Trace its popular history, examine the kinds of “evidence” cited, and learn why the claim remains unverified.
Open case file ↗Stories of strange, intimidating visitors who warn UFO witnesses to stay silent became a major part of UFO folklore. Explore the original motif and the distinction between documented events and later embellishment.
Open case file ↗Did extraterrestrials influence ancient monuments, technology or human origins? A guide to the claims, the evidence often cited and the archaeological context usually missing from popular retellings.
Open case file ↗Unidentified anomalous phenomena are real as reports of observations that remain unresolved. The harder question is what they represent—and whether any demonstrate extraterrestrial technology.
Open case file ↗For an extraordinary claim to become a reliable finding, researchers need more than a striking image or an anonymous account. Strong evidence is traceable to its origin, independently reviewable, consistent with the full context and open to testing by other investigators.
Look for original mission imagery, technical reports, transcripts, dated documents and peer-reviewed studies.
Test lighting, perspective, compression, natural geology, ordinary aircraft, sensor limitations and the possibility of mistaken interpretation.
An unresolved observation should remain unresolved until the evidence supports a stronger conclusion.
NASA states that extraterrestrial life has not been discovered and that there is no evidence UAP are extraterrestrial. That does not prove life cannot exist elsewhere; it describes the current state of verified evidence.
Use these videos as supporting material, not as proof by themselves. Official mission footage documents scientific observations; documentaries, interviews and conspiracy-theory videos present interpretations that should be checked against original records and independent evidence.
